Archiv Migration - Overview

In an one day workshop our specialist consults you about the dependency and framework of our data migration.

Content:
analysis of the current status (source archiv, system landscape),
possible migration method,
questions about data privacy,
scenario of archiv change.

For the migration concept the current requirements (migration strategy, changing scenario) for the change of the archiv- system are affillated. Together with the technical decisions of the migration (migration basis, convertion functionalities, attribute mapping) this information is defined preferably as free of information as possible as the allowance for the migration process.

According frequencies will be erected.

Checking of totality of different point of views at the data base (before system, archiv data, media).

Here we check if the individual characteristics (e.g. data structure, multivalues, annotation types) of the source- data stock in the target- archiv are able to be shown directly or if changes are needed.

Checking of technical data stock (technical data types, compression, coding, attribute value- encoding).

Some of the target archivs need special care.

Migration of documents that are archived from SAP via ArchiveLink.

Migration of arbitrary archived documents.

According SAP ArchiveLink connection charts can be prepared.

Documents are referenced not in SAO but in other archive before systems.

Archive before systems are not used, research is done completely via archive data base.

The documents are neither in before system nor in archive data base. The research is done at filesystem- level or is not yet possible.

Documents with SAP cover, research done with SAP.

In SAP generated text- notes, that are archived to a document.

Annotations are text or graphic objects with position, colour and form information.

Signatures of SAP documents, do not mix them up with signed connections.

Archive client.

A variation of archive specific annotations are known, e.g. text- annotations, arrows, markings and rectangles. The annotations are marked through position, colour and size information.

Any kind of client specific attributes that are saved in the archive system.

Convertion of many TIFF- document components (many TIFF files) in one TIFF document component (one TIFF file). The convertion can be essential because of technical or user- specific requirements.

Convertion of a TIFF document component (TIFF file) into a PDF document component (PDF file).

Forms and reference data can be merged into one document within the framework of data migration.

A variation of convertion features are possible. These have to be looked at individualy and aligned. Please arrange an appointment.

Convertion of different characteristics of an attribute (type, format, value).

Checking if an attribute is connected to a defined value facet.

According to combination of source and target achrive system the translation of the attribute encodings may be essential. This are also important if attribute values are discarded in different encodings (e.g. in an internationalization).

Record compliant supply of migrated documents.

Supply of documents in archive- specific form.

Supply of documents in achive neutral form (e.g. in abandonment: individual file depot with index files in CSV).

Import of migrated document record conform to SAP ArchiveLink http.

Import of migrated documents in record conform way.

In the privacy report all given media are listed and the actions done to those media are protocolled.

The source report shows where to find the documents (e.g. archive depot/media, archive- DB, connection charts). The document need to be referenced completely so that a supply with the migration is made possible.
